caracteriza\u00e7\u00e3o de novos compostos bioativos e dando suporte para o desenvolvimento de projetos e novos produtos. Baseado em ensaios de cultura de c\u00e9lulas humans e murinas (in vitro), a divis\u00e3o realiza testes de citotoxicidade, de irrita\u00e7\u00e3o ocular e de sensibilidade cut\u00e2nea visando a determina\u00e7\u00e3o de potencial t\u00f3xico de subst\u00e2ncias, al\u00e9m de desenvolver projetos de pesquisa com a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de diferentes ensaios in vitro que simulam processos de ativa\u00e7\u00e3o de c\u00e9lulas do sistema imunol\u00f3gico bem como a intera\u00e7\u00e3o destas com outros tipos celulares (co-culturas) mimetizando processos de doen\u00e7a. Adicionalmente, realiza ensaios de adipog\u00eanese, miog\u00eanese e osteoblastog\u00eanese para o estudo de compostos com potencial de controlar doen\u00e7as de alta preval\u00eancia como a obesidade e osteoporose. O estabelecimento de modelos in vitro mais complexos, como culturas 3D e o desenvolvimento de organ\u00f3ides est\u00e3o nos planos futuros da Divis\u00e3o.
